Today, I am a wheelbarrel of
bones
emptied
On props. Stretched stiff, posing for,
Apollo.
liquefied
By the heat of the flash. A Skeleton
cult, lies
topless,
On vintage couches wearing jeans that
cling to
the hips
They don’t have. Nipple covers and
chains on
the floor.
We are all dying for another one. Just
one more
smoke.
He stares. He sweats. I canter to the
wall. My
bare back
Crumbles the ancient bricks behind it. I too
join the
skeleton
Cult. We tiptoe back to the scene with a
low-carb
hangover.
I grab a rusted sign and embrace it like a
missed
lover.
End of. Tomorrow, our world will be
revealed
in prints.
And without feeling the pulls of our
muscles,
or hearing
The chimes at the backs or our throats,
They will
call them
beautiful.
A Night In
Inky strands spread over the clay dunes
of your face.
Diverse lines wait outside the door.
I take you in
Reeking of whiskey and last night’s kiss.
The bare light exposes
Trails of anonymous lovers’ saliva down
the center of your torso.
A breath taking Niagara. Your clothes fall.
In the morning,
I will ask
. . . . . you to leave
your flute silent,
sunken
. . . . . in my black
. . . . . sheets.
The Plague of micro Theory
A toxic swirl sinks
to the bottom
of my glass. Strings
of lights burst.
A domino effect.
New moon. No moon.
A patio of bad
music and poorly
dressed peasants
talk nuisance. Bleached
hair follicles clench
to half-pint
brains. One speaks,
Two and Three agree.
Their interaction,
scarcely symbolic.
Four and Five join. The
Plague of crippled
Minds scatter.
Ignorance to theory.
The suffocation of
puppets who lack opinion.
A social phenomenon.
Stay away from me,
I say. In the corner
I speak to the guy ahead
And pray he
Listens.
