Peter Marra lived in the East Village, New York from 1979 until 1993 at the height of the punk–no wave rebellion. His favorite artists are Salvador Dali, Felicien Rops, Dante Rossetti and Amedeo Modigliani. Peter also cites Roger Corman and Russ Meyer as influences. He has had approximately 100 poems and several short stories published either in print or online. His poems explore alienation, addiction, love, the havoc that secrets can wreak and obsessions, often recounted in an oneiric filmic haze. He wishes to find new methods of description and language manipulation spun and wrapped in frenzy. His work has appeared in over 30 journals and he is currently working on his 1st collection of poems. He dreams while awake. Peter currently resides in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
